Volunteering is a great way to become more involved at the center and to become closer to like-minded people. With your help, the center will run more smoothly, allowing more people in the greater Los Angeles community to experience Buddha's profoundly moving and helpful teachings. This is one of the happiest and most satisfying ways we can spend our days: helping others to be happy!

Volunteer to beautify the center & cherish our Sangha
Help our community flourish by creating the perfect conditions for teachings, practice & Dharma realizations...
Join the Lam Chung commitee and experience the power of purification. Lam Chung was a monk who struggled unsuccesfully to learn Dharma until Buddha blessed him with the job of sweeping the temple - and with an endless supply of dust. Through this practice, he realized emptiness and became a profound teacher and Foe Destroyer.
Follow in his footsteps. We need volunteers (both skilled and unskilled) who can commit to helping on small or large ways, either weekly, or on special projects. If you are interested in helping with gardening, basic housekeeping, cleaning projects (such as shampooing the couches), special projects (such as garden design or painting woodwork) please contact the center: 323.223.0610 |
The Sound & Archive Department
Would you like an exciting volunteer position with the sound department? We record teachings, burn and distribute CD copies, and design covers for special event CDs. We currently need volunteers who have some experience with computers and Itunes to help with our new archive project.

Any skill level.
We need people with
basic HTML skills as well as someone
with php programming & back end database
skills to help optimize & maintain the website - several jobs
available, some short term & some ongoing. Work at home or from
the center office. The amount of time involved would depend on your
schedule and availability - a large time commitment isn't necessary.
