Kadampa Meditation Center California (KMC CA), located in the heart of Los Angeles, is the primary Center for Kadampa Buddhism in California. We offer a complete selection of meditation programs designed so that students find peace of mind, happiness and meaning in their lives - from introductory meditation classes, classes for kids and families, and day courses to short and long retreats and more in-depth, on going Buddhist study programs and retreats. Everyone is welcome regardless of experience level.
Our Bookstore
Our bookstore features the books of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. Through his kindness, Western readers now have access to Buddha's teachings at whatever level they wish to practice. Though these books are based on ancient texts of great Buddhist Teachers, they are clear and accessible to modern readers and have been translated into numerous languages.
In addition, our bookstore carries prayer booklets, (sadhanas), CDs, posters, statues, prayer beads, postcards, and other beautiful items.
